Winter Days

After reading many crafting blogs I thought it was about time I give it a try too and so here we are.  It is so cold today and the fog surrounding the country side has not lifted at all. Despite the damp weather my dog is still very eager to go out for walks. The natural light might not be any good for crafting but with some help from my crafting lamp I am still able to enjoy my hobbies!

Today I've been making up bracelets for presents. I have lots of seed beads in my beading collection so I thought I would put them to some use.

This bracelet took me a while to complete but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I used peyote stitch for the first time and it did take several attempts before I was happy with it. I have started another one which is to be a present for my mum. This is how it looks so far....

Last week I was busy at work with my sewing machine. I had a go at making my first ever cushion covers. I hadn't got any zips in my stash suitable for the covers so I used the enverlope method instead. As soon as I saw these pannels I just knew I had to do something with them.

The lighting in these photographs are really bad but as I mentioned earlier it has been quite dark here all day.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog, I love the bracelet you've been making, it looks gorgeous, beading is a craft I've not yet had a go at - It looks very complicated.
I'm your first follower - yippee!! Cant wait to see what else you create.
